The mission of the Risk Management Department is to assist all residential and commercial members of the construction industry in creating safe and healthy work sites and ultimately working to reduce the impact of claims expense and increased insurance costs.
Working closely with insured’s and our agency partners, Risk Management offers a variety of products and services tailored to the unique needs of the residential and commercial construction industry, including individual safety policies to full safety programs to counseling on claims investigations and Risk Managements tools for training.
Products and Services ( A sample of services we can provide )
Safety Services
  • Development of Safety Programs – Customized to the residential or commercial builder, subcontractor, trade partner or artisan.
  • Customized training programs – Realistic 2 and 4 hour training programs on any subpart found in the 29CFR1926 or 29CFR1910 as requested. Site training programs also offered.
  • Onsite consultation – Independent inspection service to determine OSHA compliance. Written report as requested.
  • Exception programs – Development of customized safety procedures when OSHA standards are believed to be ineffective.
  • Best Practices – Investigation and/or research into subject matter not clearly defined by the Code of Federal Regulations.
Risk Management
  • Drug Free worksites – Establishment of formal drug and alcohol policies and procedures.
  • Claims reviews – Determination of trends, occurrences and development of potential loss development factors.
  • Evacuation plans – Formal written evacuation plans for office and job site.
  • Disaster planning – Determination of remote work sites, disaster recovery and hazard mitigation.
  • Workplace violence – Procedure for identifying and mitigating potential workplace violence.
Authorized OSHA 500 (Construction) and 501 (General Industry) Outreach Trainer
  • Construction (29CFR1926)
    • OSHA 10 hour – Designed for the average site worker.
    • OSHA 30 hour – Designed for the site superintendent, foreman or designated competent person.
    • Individual 2 and 4 hour Safety topics – Any subpart found in the Code of Federal Regulations 1926 customized to the individual trade for both residential and commercial builder, subcontractor, trade partner or artisan.
    • Big four – OSHA’s targeted violations of fall protection, electrical, struck by or caught in between.
  • General Industry
    • OSHA 10 hour – Designed for the average retail, warehouse or factory worker.
    • OSHA 30 hour – Designed for middle and upper management in charge of site or plant safety.
    • Individual 2 and 4 hour Safety topics – Any subpart found in the Code of Federal Regulations 1910 customized to the individual needs of the company.
